Chair Coco (Set of 2)
The Chair Coco is made in downtown Guatemala City. The iron frames are hand cut and welded/assembled in a small welding shop. The wicker is woven onto them by artisans that came to Guatemala from El Salvador to escape the war in the 1980s. The wicker is harvested in the Cuchumatán mountains in the Quiché region of Guatemala by farmers of the Ixil Maya ethnic group. Designed by La Casa Cotzal.
