Momostenango has a long standing tradition of Wool Weaving, being the main area in the country where the wool weaver artisans are located. This weaving technique has been passed on from generation to generation for hundred of years. Since 2013, weavers have seen a major change in production of wool rugs, and thanks to new designs and partnerships in US retailers we are starting to see a new rise of wool weaving that results in improved the quality of life and increased income for artisans and their families.
