Wallhanging JIPIJAPA
Completely hand-made in the southeast state of Campeche, México; this piece features four wooden circles that are attached together using woven JipiJapa fiber.
JipiJapa comes from a medium-size bush-like palm tree. Milagro de Atocha, our master artisan, weaves all these pieces in an underground cave in her own patio, where she finds perfect humidity for the flexibility of the fiber. Designed by Lørdag & Søndag.
